Nalki is a traditional Kashmiri embroidery style made up of dense, slightly raised stitches that give each motif texture and depth. Deep red roses bloom across a dusty-rose shawl background, threaded through with olive and ivory leaf trails. Both ends carry a deep border of teal and red buds framed by ivory paisleys, so the shawl looks finished however you drape it. Every motif is done by hand, so each piece carries the small variations of its maker.
