A deep peacock blue shawl with a dense allover floral jaal woven through it, finished with a multicolour striped border.

The jaal is a continuous trellis of flowers, leaves and small paisleys in rust, mustard, blush, ivory and maroon, packed so closely that the colour shifts as the fabric moves. At each end, a striped pallu in orange, pink, mustard and maroon adds a warm contrast, and a paisley border frames the whole shawl. It reads as considered rather than loud. Each piece is finished by hand, so small variations in weave and colour are a signature of the maker rather than a flaw.
